Best Marketing Strategy for Personal Trainers!

Hi guys! it’s Jono here today. I’m actually a little stressed. I’m about to see my Trainer for our weekly stretch session and I’ve spent the last 2 weeks sitting down listening to presentations (and haven’t stretched at all). So, this could be painful, I’ll keep you posted.

Now on Monday I mentioned that we’re running the “Walking Challenge” in our VIP Membership Group, so today I want to go into more detail about the “walking” challenge because I really believe it is one of the most powerful things you can implement, especially over the x-mas period! I want to give you a few good reasons and then a MAJOR reason.

Reason 1: Retention
Just by running this challenge in your Facebook Group you’ll increase the interaction by 10 times! Also, chances are some of your members will meet up in their own time and go for walks. Interaction OUTSIDE Facebook is even better! The closer your group gets (both online and offline), the better your retention will be.

Reason 2: Results
Sitting is one of the worst things you can do. There are studies out there that show sitting is the new smoking. So if you can get your clients to walk an extra couple of km a day, it’s going to improve their results.

Major Reason: MARKETING
The most common question I get is: “how do I market my bootcamp? Do I use Facebook? Do I use Instagram?”

Doing a free walking challenge either the week between X-mas and New Years or the week after New Years is the BEST bit of marketing strategy you can do.
– It gets potential clients to know you, like you and trust you! If these prospects know you, like you and trust you, they will be WAY more likely to register for your bootcamp or online program.
– You’re giving potential clients REAL value by providing support, motivation, accountability and community which are the key things people need to get results. If you can provide all these things to your prospects, they are going to LOVE you!
– It’s not intimidating! “Register for my 12 week bootcamp” can be intimidating. Register for a walking challenge – at your own pace in your own time, is pretty much the least intimidating form of exercise out there. Pretty much everyone will feel comfortable going for a walk.

For this reason – I recommend every single Bootcamp Trainer should put together some sort of an online walking challenge just before your bootcamp launches! It’s the best form of marketing you can do!
